Property Heritage
Five generations of the Shipley family have called Glenwood, Alberta, home. In 1958 when my father purchased this 85-acre river frontage, the “Big Barn” was already a local legend for hosting the annual Bester Family Dance. The 1970’s & 80’s brought family camping, reunions, baptisms, and even a Boy Scout regional camporee. The swimming hole at the bend of the river is easily 14’ deep during mid-summer offering an excellent opportunity to cool off or fish for trout.
